About Danny
Welcome, I’m Danny. I was raised in the East Coast (New Jersey and Virginia) and moved to Salt Lake City, Utah in February of 2022. I am a mental health therapist, community leader, chaplain, public speaker and advocate. Here’s how I got here:
Before becoming a therapist, I spent years as a Catholic priest, an experience that deeply formed my approach to presence, meaning-making, and walking alongside people in moments that matter. But after three years in the priesthood, I left.
My scaffolding had become completely undone. But through the debris and disconnect, I was ultimately able to live more fully and honestly. And that reconstruction informs the way I show up with clients today.
My work now sits at the intersection of mental health, identity, and purpose. I hold four graduate degrees and have experience across community mental health, leadership, clinical therapy, and public speaking. At the core of my practice are four pillars: therapy, chaplaincy, consulting, and public speaking. And whether I’m sitting with someone in a therapy session, supporting individuals through loss or existential questions, consulting with organizations, or speaking to groups, my approach is grounded in authenticity, curiosity, and respect for the complexity of each person’s story.
Outside my professional life, you can find me skiing the Wasatch’s pristine powder; hiking one of its beautiful summer trails; dancing with friends; or reading a good book.
